Why fit matters

A filter that does not fit is a filter you take off and lose.

When the panel is a few millimeters too big it bows and catches the lid. A few too small and light leaks down the sides, which is exactly the gap a shoulder-surfer reads through. Most marketplace filters miss on both counts because they are sold by the rounded screen size, not the real bezel.

Match the panel to the actual laptop and the whole thing disappears into your setup. That is the point. You stop thinking about it, and it keeps doing its job on the train, in the lounge, at the open-plan desk behind you.

Pinch the corner tab and lift. The filter pops out of the magnetic frame in about two seconds, and the frame stays on your laptop. When you are done sharing, line it up and it clicks back in. No tape to peel, nothing to lose under the desk.

Past roughly 30 degrees off-center, the screen reads as black to anyone beside you. Straight on, you see your normal display. It is a microlouvre layer, the same idea as a venetian blind, so the angle is what does the work. The flush fit matters here: a gap down the side is a window someone can read through.

If the matcher sent you the wrong panel, that is on us, and we fix it free. Every filter also ships with a 14-day trial, so if the fit is not right for any reason, we arrange pickup and refund you. Use the request form if your exact model was missing and we will measure it before you commit.

There is a small, expected drop, the same physics as any louvre filter. We tune the panel to keep it minimal, and because privacy, anti-glare and blue-light are in one layer, you are not stacking three films that each steal brightness. Most people nudge their brightness up one notch and forget about it. If you work outdoors in direct sun, tell us and we will point you to the right finish.

The finder here is built for laptops, where the magnetic frame fits the lid. For external monitors we make a hang-tab version in the common 24, 27 and 32-inch sizes.
